My favorite part of my job is witnessing people discover parts of themselves they didn’t know they were allowed to access - strength, softness, clarity, boundaries, joy. It is very meaningful to be able to sit with someone in their inner world and help them make sense of experiences that may have felt confusing, overwhelming, or isolating, and to accompany someone as they reclaim agency and reconnect with their own wisdom.
The transformation I see in my patients during therapy often looks like small shifts: a little more self-compassion, a little less fear around emotions, a little more honesty in relationships. Overtime, those small shifts accumulate and become more noticeable, such as when patients begin to notice they’re responding to situations with more steadiness, more clarity, and more authenticity.
As well as my formal training, I also bring the experience of sitting with people through grief, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, identity exploration, and life transitions. Beyond my clinical background, my own experience of moving around throughout my childhood gives me a naturally multicultural lens. I’m comfortable navigating differences - cultural, relational, emotional- and I’m attentive to how identity, family dynamics, and belonging shape a person’s inner world. More than anything, I bring a grounded, non-judgmental presence. My approach is collaborative.I don’t position myself as the expert on your life. Instead, I help you slow down, make sense of your patterns, and build new ways of relating to yourself and others. I draw from evidence-based modalities, but I adapt them to fit you, rather than asking you to fit the modality.
You don’t have to show up “together” for therapy. You don’t have to know what to say. All you have to do is arrive as you are. I will meet you there. And we’ll work at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. My role is to hold space, offer clarity, and walk with you, not ahead of you toward whatever healing or change you’re seeking.
