I love being able to provide a space for children and teenagers to feel safe enough to explore things that might make them uncomfortable. Children and teenagers have so many moving parts in their lives, so much that is not in their control, so being able to create a space for them to be in charge is my goal.
A lot of my clients start therapy with feelings of worry, sadness, or other uncomfortable emotions. Through the work that we do together, I see my clients gain insight into their own feelings, learn valuable coping skills, and learn how to not just survive, but thrive.
I am a graduate of both NYU’s Silver School of Social Work and Sarah Lawrence College’s department of Child Development, so I have multiple perspectives and frameworks to use when working with my clients. Before I was a social worker, I was a preschool teacher, babysitter, nanny, and worked at multiple internships where children were the focus. I use this experience to make therapy not just a useful and eye-opening experience, but an enjoyable one as well.
I am a fan of Broadway musicals, arts and crafts, and video games. I use my interests and up-to-date knowledge of pop culture to help me connect to children across a wide age range.
